PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, AMERICAN EVANGELIST: I CAN'T

From John Collins Ministries:

Following the resurrection of Jesus, Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord and He appeared unto them later that evening. Thomas was not with them at this appearing and when the other disciples told Thomas of seeing Jesus, he said, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” John 20:25 (NKJV).

Thomas walked with Jesus, saw the miracles and knew the power of God. He knew that Jesus would be resurrected and had been told many things prior to them happening. And yet, he doubted. He faltered in the strength of his belief. That did not stop Jesus from wanting him to be an apostle. Jesus always knew who would struggle with what. Jesus knew that Thomas would doubt and Jesus knows that each of us has within us weaknesses in our faith.

There are times when doubt will creep in and erode away at the confidence you feel. There are times when doubt may frustrate you and pull you away from your devotion to God. There are times when you may feel lost and empty, unable to hold on to your faith and hope, wanting the proof of the print of the nails. That doubt is where Satan attacks us the most, in our minds. We must be aware of the enemy and fight the good fight to stay in faith.

Thomas was given the opportunity to do so and when he had, he said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” John 20:28

At those times of questions and avoidance you must ask yourself what matters to you. You must choose to seek what you hold on to and grab on with all you have got. All that is in this world is passing and what we have is only temporary. The truth of our souls is eternal and is encompassed in our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the source of daily confidence and our faith in Him is our true connection to each other.

Struggles and doubts are not unusual and Jesus knows our every fear. He will help you overcome and stand firm in your faith. Yet, you have to make the choice of what you think on, you have to make an effort to keep your mind on things above and not on things that will tear you away from believing in heaven and your day to day life that will lead you there.

Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, AMERICAN EVANGELIST: OLD TESTAMENT FOR TODAY

Stories of faith, endurance, struggle, and failure

The Old Testament will teach you the history of the
mistakes and the triumphs of Israel.  Don't repeat the failures
Pastor John Collins, John Collins Minsistries

Do not take your faith or your salvation for granted.  The Old Testament in the Holy Bible gives detailed history of the struggles and failures of the Jewish people in their faith and obedience to God.  God brought Jesus Christ to teach and show the Jews, the chosen people, the right way of worship and obedience, and still the Jewish people failed.  The beauty of Jesus Christ, salvation and the hope in God has been shown to those who are not Jews, with the same gifts of hope from God.  Do not take it for granted, as Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries writes.

From John Collins Ministries, Pastor John Collins

“You will say then, ‘Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.’  Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear.  For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.” Romans 11:19-21 (NKJV).

Why is the Old Testament relevant? It is there to teach you how God deals with His people. As believers in Jesus Christ, you must know what is expected of you in your relationship with God and in order to know this you are to become knowledgeable in how He dealt with the Jews who are the natural branches of the olive tree, while you are of the wild olive tree.

There is a need to recognize the mistakes that the Jewish people made in their relationship with God so that you do not make the same ones. Do not become overconfident in your faith but always maintain reverence and awe in your contemplation of the Lord. Do not become too caught up in making money and gaining financial success that you forget the basics of your faith. Do not forget to tend to your heart and mind daily and to pray your way through life.

There are just too many people that do not put in any real effort or consistent effort toward getting into heaven but just assume that they are going there. Don’t take Jesus for granted but work your butt off to do as He has told you to do.

Never walk through life with any conceit because you know that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and you believe in Him but have humility and pity for those that have yet to come to that knowledge and be willing to live a life that shines for Jesus so that others may come to the cross because of you.

“Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.” Romans 11:22 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, AMERICAN EVANGELIST: THE SIN AND THE SINNER

"HATE THE SIN, NOT THE SINNER"....

The phrase "hate the sin, not the sinner"  is not a direct biblical quote, but it is the message that Jesus taught as He found His way among the people of Israel over two thousand years ago.  Sin is what is needed to let go of, to try to avoid.  We will all sin, we will never be perfect.  It is our choice and our work to strive to be perfect, to be like Christ, to overcome our nature that matters to Jesus and to God.  That is why we ask for forgiveness daily, and work to overcome our shortcomings.

From John Collins Ministries:

Hate the sin and not the sinner is all well and good to do but a sinner who continues in his sin without repentance and submission to the will of God through the salvation of Christ will eventually be judged as an enemy of God.

It has become easy to say that Jesus was the only perfect one and therefore there could never be any expectation for anyone else to live up to those standards although Jesus Himself said to be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect. It has also been noted that Jesus would be hanging out with the sinners and not with the righteous if He were to be here today and although that is true He definitely would not be hanging out with them to condone their sin but to heal them and to help lead them to righteousness in order to provide them with salvation.

Salvation does not come packaged with an acceptance of sin. God may have mercy and love for His people but He definitely does not have an enabling heart and He does not reward rebellion. He is slow to wrath and longsuffering but eventually His perfect and righteous judgment will fall on all and everyone will receive what they deserve.

It is time to stop making excuses by just saying that we are all sinners because Jesus knows, God knows and every sinner knows that they can do better, be better and can influence others to do the same. Righteousness is very achievable in life and begins with humility and a willingness to sacrifice. Each person chooses their destination in the end and it is necessary that the standards of God begin to be met because there has been too much loss of souls already and it just doesn’t have to be that way. It matters what you do here on earth and it is possible to go to heaven, you just have to want that more than you want to enjoy your existence while you are here and you have to want to obey God and know that He is right more than you have to want to be right yourself.

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, AMERICAN EVANGELIST: GOD'S PITY, GOD'S TIMING

We really have no concept of how GOD thinks and how GOD plans.  The Bible is a source of peace and hope to help us understand GOD and His plan for us, but it is written that even His Son, Jesus Christ, did not know the timing of GOD's plans for events that are prophesied.  Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries cautions us in our path of Christianity to not judge another of being "worthy of salvation because of past or present deeds."  GOD has plans for everyone who will turn to Him, and everyone deserves the opportunity and hope to hear the truth of a redeemed Gospel.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“But the Lord said, ‘You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night. And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left-and much livestock?” Jonah 4:10-11 (NKJV).

Jonah was very angry when God took away the plant that God Himself had provided as shade for Jonah outside of Nineveh and was also so very angry that God had offered salvation to the people of the city. Jonah knew that they were evil people and was offended at the thought of those people being spared? Nineveh was eventually destroyed but not until the time that God had chosen for the fulfillment of prophecy.

It is very easy to look upon another and judge them not worthy of mercy and salvation because of past or present deeds. It is very easy to become self-righteous in your heart and scornful of others and it is just as easy to deny that any of those feelings exist within you. God does know His own children and He does have His plan that will unfold and it is obvious when a person truly responds to the gospel and to our Lord Jesus Christ because their life will reflect a stepping away from all sinful behavior and a choosing of Christ-like character for themselves.

Don't be quick to judge another's worth of salvation

God has His time for everything and there are many people who find themselves either offended by His long-suffering or dismissive of His current interest in the affairs of man. No matter what period of time a person lives on this earth, God is interested. No matter how far you may think that God is, He is right here. No matter how bad you think others are or how bad you think that this world has become, salvation is available and you can be sure that the Son of God is working hard every day to bring about revival and the saving of souls.

Don’t be quick to judge another and don’t forget how precious your time here is. Do not neglect a day in your life by being lazy in your faith. You are being tested and tried and it is up to you to choose to seek those things above and not those things of this earth.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:10 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS: HEDGING YOUR BETS?

FROM JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: YOU CAN'T TURN YOUR FAITH ON AND OFF LIKE A WATER FAUCET

“Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which makes a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.’” Mark 12:41-44 (NKJV).

You cannot only be a Christian when things are going good in your life and you cannot only be a Christian towards those whom you like and approve of. The whole point of being a Christian is to be Christ-like and believe me, Jesus was kind to those whom He knew to be sinners and those whom He would not approve of, which is the reason that He was sent to earth, to save those who were lost. Jesus gave all that He had down to His last breath, for us.

Many people take their own lives and situations too seriously and become defensive and ignore those who are around them. Many people justify their self-absorption by claiming tragedy, turmoil, victimhood and obligations. You cannot justify acting nasty or dismissive to others because you are not in a comfortable situation or in a place of stability. God tests you on how you behave under pressure, under stress and in the tough situations. God tests you all of the time and if you really are interested in how you are doing, just go and read the Sermon on the Mount and see how you measure up.

The words of Christ when He spoke are not to be dismissed, they are to be obeyed and that is how you will be tested. God doesn’t want you to wait until you are happy and financially stable to help another. It is your suffering that makes you able to have compassion and it is your willingness to put another before yourself that makes you rich.

Be willing to be a follower of Christ when no one is looking and be willing to open yourself up to another when they are in need. Not everyone needs money as charity. There are so many lonely people in this world that need love and faith. Be willing to offer both freely because God knows that Jesus always will.

“Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have the glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.” Matthew 6:2 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, AMERICAN EVANGELIST: A TIME TO HEAL

Pastor John Collins: "We heal because we are loved"

We all have pain and scars that need to heal.  Because so many have never known the love of God or His Son, that hurt never seems to heal.  That hurt leads to alcoholism, drug abuse, addictions of all kinds, low self-esteem, cutting: there are so many things that we do to ourselves out of pain of living.  Pastor John Collins, evangelist and pastor of John Collins Ministries, tells us that it is faith in God and Jesus that will heal us.  All we have to do is realize that God and Jesus are there and want us to come to Them, warts and all, and the healing will begin.

Adolescents are skeptical of Christianity

Tears and pain keep us from enjoying what God does put into our lives even when we have a little faith.  It is how the enemy, who is Satan, keeps us from that perfect relationship with God.  The child who once trusted Jesus becomes the surly adolescent who is rebellious of parents and church because the realities of life take over with bullying, temptations of being with the “in” crowd, and the examples of Christians that are out there are hypocritical so that a teen doesn’t want to be known as Christian.  The hurt gets buried instead of healed.  The teen grows into an adult, life wears him down, and skepticism replaces what little faith there had been.  Resentment sets in, and the tide of hurt simply continues.  It isn’t necessary.  All that needed to be done was for someone to show some compassion and speak truth of the love of Jesus, the salvation that is there for all of us to ask for.  That’s all that we need to do, says Pastor John Collins, all we need to do is ask-get down on our knees, pray, and ask. Keeping the pride and ego of suffering only gets us more suffering.
“You are worth it. You are unique and you are strong. You are capable of overcoming and you are capable of forgiveness in your life. You are filled with the capacity to be kind and to share love greater than you have ever known. Jesus is there for you and He cares for you. Jesus walks with you and you do not need to feel unworthy, unloved or unwanted, ever. You may have been hurt in life, you probably experienced pain in childhood as well as doubt and fear and awkwardness but that is part of growing and maturing. Life is learning to accept human weakness and human failure, knowing that life is full of lessons. You will make mistakes and you will overcome and you can know that no matter what, Jesus is there for you. You matter. Your heart is capable of healing because you are loved.” – Pastor John Collins, 2018.

Pastor John Collins is speaking truth:  we all sin, and pastors need to step up.

For over three years, Pastor John Collins has been spreading a revival of hope and faith around the United States.  The example of the teen to the adult is the result of an epidemic of pastors having “pastoral separation” from congregations, according to Pastor John Collins. That epidemic is deadly to the salvation of souls.  Pastor John Collins gave an example of a minister who said that he and his wife don’t associate with sinners, drug addicts, and alcoholics, that the minister didn’t deal with “those people”.  News flash-Pastor John Collins calls it out-we are all under grace to repent with a pure heart, and those who are pastors need to be a voice for the voiceless, that there is no separation between sinners.  God doesn’t separate sin, Pastor John Collins reminds us, a sin is a sin in God’s eyes, no matter what that sin is. Healing of past hurts and wounds is not going to happen if the people in the pulpit are not going to step up and do the job right.  God is there and waiting for everyone with arms wide open, and those in the pulpit need to bring that message to the people. All it takes is a pure heart of repentance and to ask.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 (NKJV).

Sometimes it may be difficult to get over wounds in your life. Sometimes you may not feel that you are valuable. Sometimes you grow up and have left over scars from the process that can lead to low self-worth, addictions, grudges, resentments and self-sabotaging behavior. It can be hard not to blame others and end up blaming yourself for all kinds of things that just lead to more pain. Sometimes it is just so hard to let go of past hurts and to find the optimism for the future and the joy for today. We all hurt and we all struggle. Faith in the Lord is what allows His love to come into our hearts and heal us. Knowing the value that Jesus places on us and the value that God places on us is where true love begins. It is important to know that you are loved without end and that God wants a relationship with you.

You are worth it. You matter. Your heart is capable of healing because you are loved.

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” Philippians 4:23 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, AMERICAN EVANGELIST: RELIGIOUS MOTIONS

FROM JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: RITUAL RELIGION

You cannot have religious observances and sinful
 living simultaneously~Pastor John Collins

Introduction

When Jesus walked and taught, He was not creating more landmines for humanity to get around.  God sent Jesus to teach and bring people back to God because, people being people, those in charge set up roadblocks and traps that prevented people from getting closer to God.  The routines of religion became the focus instead of the worship and appreciation of God.  Jesus went after the Pharisees and the Sadducees because those men set up rules that God never created.  The answers Jesus gave to these men frustrated them because His responses were righteous and they couldn’t argue with Him.  Today, the same thing has happened with the rituals of Sunday morning church and organized religion.  The practices have become routine and empty, devoid of passion for God.

“When you allow the routine of your religion to become the religion itself and you rely on going through the motions and requirements of that religion then you have been blinded and have fallen into the ditch. Faith is meant to guide you, to strengthen you and to give you the knowledge and confidence in God that allows you to live your life according to His standards. Your faith is not meant to become a routine of bullet points that you tick off in order to complete the list of obligations so that you can meet the minimum requirements that will allow you to reap the rewards without interrupting your life and your pursuit of happiness in any extreme way.” Pastor John Collins, January, 2018.

Faith is not a checklist.

Pastor John Collins writes daily thoughts and devotionals designed to explain the gospel in the way it is meant to be understood, the purpose of these messages is to educate according to the Scriptures, help grow faith in others and assist others in becoming more submissive to the will of God.  Pastor John Collins wants to encourage people to become righteous followers of Christ, not to continue the comfortable routines that have been done for so long that leaves people questioning and wondering that there should be more.

Pastor John Collins is an evangelist and head pastor of John Collins Ministries.  For several years, Pastor John Collins has been travelling the United States spreading the word of the Gospel and igniting revival in the faith of those who hear him.  Pastor John Collins recognizes that the Holy Bible has been manipulated to control people, to suppress populations, and to serve the leaders who present it instead of serving God who wrote it through His divine influence upon people.  The Holy Bible is meant to be a guideline for living in a righteous manner, in a way that would please God in all ways.  Pastor John Collins preaches that God is far from pleased with us and the way the world is now, and the time has come for change.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets. I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of dead, both of the just and the unjust. This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.” Acts 24:14-16 (NKJV).

Paul was speaking of the Way in which we should all live in accordance with the commandments of God and in belief of Jesus Christ as our Savior. There is truth given to men by God and we are to respond to this truth with faith and let our behavior be of righteousness in order to attain salvation upon our deaths so that we can be among the just in resurrection. The Israelites were not as clear about resurrection and heaven and hell. The afterlife was not spoken of in definitive terms but it was clear that God chose the Hebrew people to reveal His commandments and they received the oracles and Laws. Jesus made it clear that He was the way to righteousness and to heaven. Unfortunately, religion has become a stumbling block for godliness.

The Israelites were given instructions on righteous behavior and how to live their lives daily and even they stumbled over the ‘rules’ of it all. That became the basis for so much instruction in the New Testament which has led to the ‘Christians’ doing the same thing. You cannot separate your life from your faith. You cannot have religious observances and sinful living simultaneously. That is the problem that people have always had. They compartmentalize their faith and their lives. The Way is to become your way of life, your standard of living and your faith is to guide you in all that you do. Religion is a stumbling block because the doctrines of men have taken over just as the oral tradition of men took over in Judea so long ago and yet it is these traditions that are still in control of the ‘faith’ of people.

When you allow the routine of your religion to become the religion itself and you rely on going through the motions and requirements of that religion then you have been blinded and have fallen into the ditch. Faith is meant to guide you, to strengthen you and to give you the knowledge and confidence in God that allows you to live your life according to His standards. Your faith is not meant to become a routine of bullet points that you tick off in order to complete the list of obligations so that you can meet the minimum requirements that will allow you to reap the rewards without interrupting your life and your pursuit of happiness in any extreme way.

Your faith in Jesus is meant to give you hope and the courage to live your life as His servant. As His disciple you are meant to follow His example always not when it is convenient. Those who follow Christ will experience unpleasantness and will stand out in this life because as the world hated Him it will indeed hate you. Let the love of the Lord seep into you and flow through you and you will live a life that shines for Jesus and you will reap the rewards that are promised by God. Do not allow your ‘religion’ to be routine, compartmentalized or stagnant. Trust that the way you live your life will determine whether your resurrection is of the just or the unjust and both will be judged.

“Thomas said to Him, ‘Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?’Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” John 14:5-6 (NKJV).

LOVE THAT CROSS PASTOR JOHN COLLINS

Jesus taught His listeners and disciples to not use useless repetitions or draw attention to themselves in prayer, not to let worship to become ritual-knowing full well that is what the Hebrew priests, Pharisees and Sadducees had led the Hebrews to, drawing them away from God and more to themselves and the actions rather than the righteous of God’s commandments. Here we are, 2000 years later with people in the pulpit doing the very same thing that Jesus taught not to do.

Pastor John Collins is redeeming the Gospel and the Scriptures.  On Sunday mornings at 1000 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time, you can listen to Pastor John Collins on AM and FM stations around the country and on Heaven’s Country Radio by linking to www.heavenscountry.com.  Other sermons, radio recordings, interviews, blogs, and Youtube and media of Pastor John Collins can be viewed by clicking on the links found within this post.  Pastor John Collins can also be reached at jcollinsministries@gmail.com for prayer, ministering, or to discuss the possibility of guest speaking, preaching or revival at your group, church, or gathering.  Pastor John Collins very passionately puts it he is in it to win it for God.  Believe that!

American Evangelist, John Collins: Biblically human

From John Collins Ministries:

Introduction:

When we really read the Holy Bible, we can find such comfort in knowing that what we go through today is no different at its core than what was experienced over 2000 years ago by people then. Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries has the ability to make the Bible come alive with images and thoughts that connect us with the Bible and what it tells us.

The Bible is our guide to living.  A way to deal with every issue we encounter in day to day life can be found within the pages of God’s word and the Gospelof Jesus.  The history, poems, stories, human failures and triumphs all stand as witness from God for us in our lives.  It is a letter of love from God to His creation, humans.  Each page and chapter tells us of God and His power, compassion, patience, and His desire for us to find Him our hearts.  It is our humility and our obedience that He seeks from us, and in such a desire for us to understand Him, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to teach us, show us, demonstrate and guide us in what God expects from us.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest. And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, and said to them, ‘Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great.’” Luke 9:46-48 (NKJV).

“Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?” James 2:5 (NKJV).

Who is worthy to be lifted up? How does God choose those that He would separate and use for His purposes? He chose Abraham and Abraham was considered a friend of God’s. He chose David and David was a man after God’s own heart. He sent His Son who died for us all.

Even those who walked with Jesus thought of themselves and the impact that they would have on this world. This is so wonderful to know that the human instinct to desire to rise above and be great was felt in those men who walked with Christ. This allows us to recognize this in ourselves and work to overcome. They were corrected and they learned what true humility is. They witnessed their Lord humble Himself to the Cross. Yet there are so many that want to be great in the name of the Lord. They call attention to themselves and think highly of themselves. But, God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. Believe me when I tell you that God knows what He is doing and He knows our hearts.

God has no use for pride. God does not want servants that think highly of themselves and their eligibility. God wants people to serve Him that are humble of heart. When we choose to walk with Jesus it should be with a pure heart and a true devotion to obedience to the Lord. We should never seek our own. We should not care what others think of us. We should be concerned only with whether we are an asset to the kingdom of God or a burden. If we have selfish ambition in our heart and a desire to stand out and be important, we are seeking status in this life and we are then unworthy to be a true servant of the Lord.

We must be careful when we desire to leave a name for ourselves, to want to be recognized for our importance or to be valued among men. A truly worthy person that will serve God well is a person that has no ambition in his heart. This person thinks of salvation when he looks upon the souls of this world. This person has sadness in his heart because of the condition of the human race. This person worries of the state of other’s faith in their lives. This person considers opportunities to share the gospel and help others come to Jesus. This person wants to see others go to heaven and lives his life as an example. This person will sacrifice and find ways to be a light in a world of dark. This person will please God.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:3-6 (NKJV)

Love That Cross, Pastor John

Blessed are the humble.  Humbleness pleases God, and Jesus was the Teacher of humility even to the point of death on the Cross.  This is our salvation.  This is our truth that has been diluted over the course of the years and that Truth needs to be redeemed for all to understand.

Pastor John Collins is changing the face of Christianity through John Collins Ministries. His dedication to preaching the truth, what we need to hear, not what we want to hear is immeasurable.  Reminding us to compare and look at the Bible as reference, Pastor John Collins illustrates that we have the very same divisions, issues, problems that the early Church experienced after Jesus was crucified.  The church was not to be a divided church, preaching this doctrine this way, and that doctrine that way.  Pastor John Collins takes his listeners back to the original intentions of the words written by those who knew and walked with Jesus, who experienced the miracle of His resurrection and His Gospel.  John Collins Ministries is redeeming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It’s time for a change.  Pastor John reaches millions each Sunday on Heaven’s Country Radio at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Mountain Time and other AM and FM radio stations across the nation.  The message is always one of promise and salvation, preaching the Gospel and teaching us in a way that few have experienced in recent decades.  The message Pastor Collins presents is one that we all need to hear to make the choices we need to make in order to go home to God and Jesus Christ.

If you wish to reach Pastor John Collins, you can do so through his email at pastor@johncollinsministries.com. He is available for prayer, for conversations, for ministry, and if you wish, he is available for guest speaking and engagement for revivals.  Pastor John Collins is truly in it to win it for God.

FROM JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: DID GOD REALLY DO THAT?

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS WRITES:

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV).

Did God really create the earth, heavens, animals and us in just six days? Did Lot’s wife really turn into a pillar of salt? Did Jonah really get swallowed by a big fish? Is the bible believable? What about slavery, the treatment of women and is God just a big ole meanie?

I must say that Satan is working hard and has claimed so many. The debates that take place about the bible, the truth of God and the relevance of the bible is just amazing. You have so many atheists and haters of God arguing that God is mean and the Bible is myth.

None of these current non-believers were there in the beginning when God was creating this world and they would benefit from reading Job. We do not know exactly how long those first six days were because we do not know how long a day was then. I know that the Bible speaks the truth and I know that God is the Creator and Father of us all. I believe that Lot’s wife did turn into a pillar of salt and that if there is not any understanding as to why and what lessons are provided in the telling of that story then it should be read again and again but I will say that disobedience and a longing for this world were a part of her character. I do believe that Jonah got swallowed by a big fish and I know that it was a foreshadowing of Jesus’ time in the ‘tomb’ which was when He descended into the lower parts of this earth to preach to those who slept.

I believe that slavery has been a part of humanity since the beginning of time and just because we believe ourselves ‘civilized’ does not mean that it does not still occur in this world or that it will not be seen again by those who believe that it is a thing of the past. There are instructions in the bible to honor women and to respect them just as there are instructions for the men to be respected as well but the one that deserves the most honor and the glory is God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

There will be naysayers and non-believers that will try to undermine your faith by preaching their philosophy of civilization and education but I know that the most civilized place with the most educated souls reside in heaven and it is the blessing of the believer to be permitted to enter those heavenly gates upon their death.

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.” 2 Timothy 2:15-16 (NKJV).
